SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

About Serengeti

The Serengeti is globally renowned for its Great Migration, one of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles in the world. Each year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and thousands of gazelles migrate across the Serengeti's vast plains, moving in a circular route between Tanzania and Kenya in search of fresh grazing. Wildlife and Landscape: The Serengeti is also home to large predator populations, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The park's open savannahs, scattered with acacia trees and kopjes (granite outcrops), provide a quintessential African landscape.
